PANZERA, ELIZABETH
Mrs. Panzera
Hello! I am Mrs. Panzera! I am the Reading Specialist in Central School, and I work as a member of our Reading Intervention team. My job is to work with students who are in need of extra support to help them grow as readers. I assess each identified student to determine the nature of the needs. I design each lesson to target the identified areas.
A typical lesson involves:
- Rereading
- Phonemic Awareness
- New Book
- Phonics/Word Work
- Writing Response

About Me
Hello! I am a Certified Reading Specialist with a Masters in Reading, and bachelor's degrees in Elementary and Special Education.
I have been teaching for 19 years in elementary school. I took 7 years off to raise my two children. During that time, I worked as an Adjunct Professor teaching Reading at Brookdale Community College and as a teacher of Advanced Instructional Methods to Graduate Level Education students in Monmouth University.
Quite frankly, teaching reading is a passion of mine - so much so that it's what I read about during my days off such as summer and holidays!
I love helping my students grow as readers as they discover the code and begin to understand the words on the page!
